von is moving forward

well i hope that all of you are having as much fun with your workouts as i am. i love to go swim. today i was able to push myself a little harder than usual. was able to get in 1000 meters with only a 15 sec rest at 850 meters. i probably should have just kept going to the end but it was not what my plan was any how but i figured i would give it a shot. the other hard part was that after getting going again it felt like my body was done. rest was a bad idea but i did it. then i got dressed adn hit the asphalt. yep plan called for a 20 minute run right after the swim. in the book tehy call them brick workouts. swim run is not too bad, adn from what i can remember from teh last time i was doing this the swim bike was not too shabby eigther. but those days where you bike run, those are when you know where the work out got its name. you feel like you got bricks for feet when you jump of the bike after an hour ride or even a 45 min ride adn try to run for about 2 miles or so. fun stuff though. and after a little while the blod changes paths and you are ready to run normal. but everything seems to be doing alright adn going well enough for the races that i want to do. i definantly need to work on some speed training though. my pace is not where i would like it. and i know that you all have a differnt pace too, and may be thinking that "oh whatever von", but that is what i thought what this blog was for, was sharing our feelings and triumphs of our work outs. any how, well i hope that you all are doing well and staying relatively injury free. just remember that some times a day off is better than pushing through somthing. you just have to jump right back into the swing of things and don't think of it as a day lost, but maitenace for the long hall.

Two weeks almost down with the training. Last weekend my running buddy and I did the 1/2 mile run in 4 degree weather. Chinle has been very cold lately. We ran bdlow the mesa behind Chinle Boarding School in Many Farms. I did have to stop about halfway for about 10 seconds to catch my breath because it was so cold. Tomorrow I am on my own since I had to come to Glendale with Heather and will be running on my own (pray for me). But Rachal has a nice park just around the corner to run in, so tomorrow at 8:00AM I will be out running. I have had some problems with my legs really burning and aching when I exert them, but my doctor says that it is because I am suffering from the effects of dehydration. I am trying to reverse the effects by drinking E-mergence-C drink mix everyday. If that doesn't work then I will have to go in for an electolyte treatment. So we will see. Hope all of you are doing well with your training. If you can find a running buddy it really helps.

hi every body

Well i am going well on my training. been able to jump in to the tri work out at week 6 and now at week 7. going to gear up so that i can hit a full tri by mid summer i hope but we shall see what work has in store latter on. today got out on the bike and did a good hour ride. still need to look at the mileage, but it felt good. love the biking i just need to get a road bike since that is where most tris seem to take place. but the bike i am using will do for the time being. hope everyone else is going well in their efforts. see you all in march.

Wow

Ok so Saturday was awesome! I ran for 1/2 a mile! I do not run! I walk, but running scares me. So I was terrified to run on Saturday. It was not as bad as I thought it would be. It was actually fun. I felt really good when I was finished. So the training is going well. My legs are killing me today because I did not stretch yesterday! I will have to remember that I need to stretch on rest day, otherwise my legs will die!
